The Centre for Inclusive Development (CID) is a knowledge reform non-profit organisation promoting disability inclusion, using innovative and cutting-edge models to address the toughest social, economic and political challenges affecting the lives of people with disabilities in Nigeria.
We engage with policymakers and decision-makers across public and private sectors to mainstream disability rights. Our advocacy is conversational, evidence-based, and solution-driven, highlighting the social and economic benefits of inclusion.
We strengthen individuals and institutions, equipping them to actively participate in and benefit from inclusive development. Our programs expand opportunities while fostering independence and empowerment.
We generate in-depth insights and evidence through research and project evaluations, using data to shape policy, reduce risks, and inspire innovation. Lessons learned become stepping stones for bolder actions.
An inclusive society is possible. We leverage media, digital platforms, and grassroots networks to raise awareness and promote positive narratives about disability.
We support development partners, government agencies, the privatevsector, civil society, individuals, and institutions through: • Disability audits & assessments • Disability sensitization workshops • Media training on inclusive communication
At the intersection of our work, gender transformation is the nucleus of how we design, but with a data-driven decision making culture that leverages on technology to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
